I’ve had that same dream again, Where i’m Patrick Swayze, And i’m watching you missing me. You’ve found a good deputy, But i just won’t ignore, That it looked like you loved him more. And gone are those days when id wish you away. Now i want to break free, and i wake just to see, That my bath waters cold, and i’m starting to feel old. Here comes that same dream again, Where i’m Patrick Swayze, And i want you to dance with me. But i’m cursing these two left feet, As you take to the sky, On the arms of some other guy. And gone are those days when id wish you away. Now i want to break free, and i wake just to see, That my bath waters cold, and i’m starting to feel old. Your high school sweetheart, she’s doing fine. Best friends with their pretty sweet lives. This corner seems a cosy place to hide. I’ll be up beside you on the floor. If i only could be strong when i need to try, Harder just when times not on my side. And gone are those days when id wish you away. Now i want to break free, and i wake just to see, That my bath waters cold, and i’m starting to feel old. The times that you cried weren’t the times of your life, Now i want to break free, so i wake just to see, That your loves all i’ve known, And i’m scared i might die alone. I’ve had that same dream again, Where it’s you and it’s me, And there’s no need to worry.

So Cool 02:38
I can’t get up till Twelve. Eagles lost again. I brush my teeth and hair. Grab my keys and my cards and my cash. (Yeah) I’ll take this leather couch. (If you want me to) And put my speakers out. (In the yard for you) I’ll pick you up in ten. (In my chevy truck) Get some gas you can ride in the back. Feels like You, you, Feel so cool, c-cool. You, you, Feel so cool, c-c-cool. Lets go to my garage. (Turn the volume up) And put some Weezer on. (Fuck the neighbourhood) Just the older songs. (Till my Mom gets home) We can rip them off and get drunk. Feels like You, you, Feel so cool, c-cool. You, you, Feel so cool, c-c-cool. Feels like You, you, Feel so cool, c-cool. You, you, Feel so cool, c-c-cool.

It's A Trip 03:38
Empty, waking up in your twenties What you don’t know is now in stereo Is this where you expected to be You’re lost in translation Like you’ve always been Expectations with a little shame I can see who you are But no you’re never gonna set her free What’s the worst thing I could say I’m the one who seems finds out every day Oh my god it’s a trip I like things you think they’re shit Cut my hair in different ways Something new but I’m still the same I can’t be the one you need When you smile, too many teeth Just the same with extra cheese In my heart it’s killing me Selfish, or so it seems when I’m not thinking I wash my face And I tie back my hair Can you see who I am Are you ever gonna let me be

Take your first steps but miss the cracks. Stand up straight with your shoulders back. It’s easy to turn just to watch them crawl, A weight you can’t carry no more. Ah Ah Ah, Ah Ah Ah, give me some time. I’m just as scared as you are in life. The man that i always wished to be, Is face down half dead in a raging sea. He’s kept afloat by the promises that i can no longer keep. Take your first steps but miss the cracks. Stand up straight with your shoulders back. It’s easy to turn just to watch them crawl, A weight you can’t carry no more. Ah Ah Ah, Ah Ah Ah, give me some time. I’m just as scared as you are. Ah Ah Ah, Ah Ah Ah, get out my way, It only hurts for a moment but. From my heart of hearts, I could offer you one more chance, I could sink just to watch you float, Dressed in all of my favourite clothes. Shoot the bird just to watch you sing, One stone each from my homemade sling. Then i notice just how long it takes, For these two hearts to break. These two hearts might never be. The man that i always wished to be, Is face down half dead in a raging sea. He’s kept afloat by the promises that i can no longer keep. That i can no longer keep. That i can no longer keep.

about

Returning from a successful 2019, Trunky Juno launched into 2020 with the blistering lead single ‘So Cool’. Named as one of BBC introducing in the North Easts 2020 tips list, Trunky has now delivered a lofi pop gem, boasting massive choruses whilst remaining as irreverent as ever on his debut EP ‘Too Many Teeth’.

Following 2020’s successes as a Fresh Find on Spotify, as well as a performance for BBC Introducing at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend (Virtual Festival) at the end of May, now is the perfect time for Trunky to drop a more detailed, and expansive release. Preivous tracks ‘Patrick Swayze’ and ‘It’s a Trip’ have both been championed by Huw Stephens on BBC Introducing on Radio 1, as well as becoming standout moments during Trunky Juno’s live shows so far.

New track ‘I’m Just As Scared As You Are’ was actually one of the first Trunky songs written, and serves as a breakthrough moment, and blueprint for the many songs which would come along later. It’s a Lofi Pop boiling pot, with all the ingredients that make up the Trunky Juno sound thrown in together, in an unapologetic statement of intent.

With eccentricity turned up to full, Trunky Juno delivers ‘So Cool’, a track which revels in the sweet nostalgic silliness of pop, whilst retaining the signature lofi indie edge which has been so prevalent within Trunkys catalogue of releases so far. While some artists may choose to write about more serious pressing matters, ‘So Cool’ is simply a track about blasting old Weezer tracks Wayne’s World style in the garage, and being super, super, cool.

Within the artwork this time around we local dogs ‘Wilson and Ernie’, showing a true sense of brotherhood, and unbreakable friendship.

‘Too Many Teeth’ by Trunky Juno is available on all platforms on 29th May 2020 via Silent Kid Records.
